Custom cake orders generally book 2 to 4 weeks in advance. However, they can book further out during wedding season and holidays.

At Maxine's On Green, we only use Grade AA Whole Unsalted Butter to make our buttercream. There are no extra added fats or preservatives. This is the basis for most of our frostings including our Cream Cheese Frosting.
Fondant is mainly used only when absolutely necessary. Either for certain decoration purposes or if a cake is entirely black, red, navy, gray, darker colors, etc.

The Process
Congratulations on your engagement-let the planning begin! The wedding planning process can be a bit overwhelming, but here is a simple guide to help you start the cake designing process.
Getting Started
Call to check the availability of your date or fill out the inquiry at the bottom of this page. We take 1 to 2 weddings each weekend here at our little shop. We recommend booking your wedding 6 to 12 months in advance. Give the shop a call at (765)307-2507 to check availability. If your date is available, we can then set up a consultation and tasting.
Consultations & Tastings
Consultations are by appointment only and held at the shop. At your consultation, we will discuss your wedding cake design, custom details and pricing, delivery time, venue information, as well as sample cake flavors.

Come with ideas to your consultation! That may be actual cake photos, details about your decor or your centerpieces - any detail that may inspire your cake design is helpful to start the process!
Deposits & Balances
A NON-REFUNDABLE deposit of 50% of the cake total (plus tax) is required to secure your wedding date. This is non- refundable and non-transferable. The remaining balance, as well as final guest count, is due 30 days prior to your wedding date. If your guest count changes, we will adjust your final payment depending on changes to the size of your cake.
We recommend contacting the shop several months prior to your wedding with any significant changes to cake design or size from your initial design.
Cake Stand
We have a variety of cake stands available for rent for $30. A $100 deposit will be held and refunded once you have returned the stand to the shop the week following your wedding.
**Please note, we only rent stands to our customers who order a cake.
Delivery
We will deliver and set up your cake on the day of your wedding 2 to 4 hours prior to your reception start time. We do not recommend clients self-transport wedding cakes.

Maxine’s on the Green was the caterer at our daughter’s wedding. I can’t say enough about how fun, easy to work with and professional Hannah is. She and her staff served our meal with ease and the food presentation was top notch. Our crowd had several dietary restrictions and Hannah handled those issues so easily. I ordered a custom cake with about a six day notice. The cake was was delicious! As well as a reasonable price for the side and order. I was also able to order online as I was out of town at the time and have my bf pic up. Friend liked the cake as well so great place to get a nice cake !
